WAKE UP! TIME’S UP! ACT UP!
A few weekends ago, I was at a movement training led by an ACT UP (AIDS Coalition To Unleash Power) member and organizer. I came in late and sat down in the only seat left, which was right next to her. Feeling unsure about why I was fully there, awake and out of the house earlier then I wanted to be on a Sunday morning, weary of the fact that I was about to do a day long training with mostly people I didn’t know. Yet I sat down and took out my notebook and settled knowing that at the very least, I was there for movement school (read more about Movement school in a past newsletter). I was there for research and study and learning.
